What's Happening at the MOA?
The mission of the Museum of Anthropology is to educate the Utah State University (USU) and Cache Valley communities about the fields of Anthropology and Museum Studies. As a part of the Anthropology Program, the Museum works hard to provide a venue for coursework and a professional context for university students to acquire experience in museum operation and management. Through these efforts the Museum also serves as an educational resource for the USU and Cache Valley communities via exhibits, tours, and special programs.
Anthropology, as the museum presents it, is more than the mere study of cultures; it is the study of human behavior, past, and present. The museum strives to introduce visitors from diverse social and cultural backgrounds to the field of Anthropology through exhibits that focus on a variety of ideas, such as how human lives change, how we share knowledge, and how we produce art. All of the exhibits in the Museum were conceived and constructed by USU students. We encourage you to explore the worlds of Anthropology through the museum's webpages, traveling teaching trunks or through your visit today.
