Photography, Filming, and Sketching

No photographing or filming by professionals or media without permission of the curator (435-797-7545).

Individuals and classes are welcome to photograph, sketch, or film objects on display under the following conditions:

No flash photography (extreme amounts of light is very damaging to artifacts, especially baskets).
No tripods or large camera bags
No photography or filming is allowed in rooms other than the main Museum.

Sketching:

Only pencil is allowed in the Museum. Please, no pens, markers, ink, charcoal, chalks pastels or paints.
No leaning against exhibit cases when drawing.

General Policies

Please help the Museum of Anthropology staff by keeping the following policies:

No touching or leaning on the exhibit cases.
No running, screaming, or horseplay in the Museum.

Tuesday through Friday 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
The First Saturday of the month 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m

Location

The USU Museum of Anthropology is located on the USU Main Campus in Logan, Utah in the historic Old Main building, Room 252. Campus Map 

Directions

From Salt Lake City: Follow Interstate 15 (I15) Northbound to the Logan/Utah State University Exit near Brigham City. Drive east, following Highway 89 through Sardine Canyon and into Cache Valley. Highway 89/91 becomes Main Street upon entering Logan. Turn right on 400 North (follow Highway 89 signs). Continue past the light at 600 East. Turn left on the first street after 600 East (Champ Drive). Staying left at the entry, follow the road on south side of the quad (large, open, grassy area). The Museum is located in Old Main, which is the building with the "A" on the tower. For parking, follow Champ Drive around Old Main and into the Aggie Parking Terrace (hourly rates) or use the FREE parking in surface lot just south of Old Main on weekends and after 5 p.m.on weekdays.
